Your meetings are yours.
Full stop.
Flywall is built local-first, not local-optional. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what stays on your machine — which is everything that matters.
What stays on your device
- Audio & recordings. Captured and stored locally. Never uploaded.
- Transcripts & diarization. Generated on-device with local ASR (Whisper / Parakeet).
- Summaries, action items & chat. Produced by an on-device model (Phi-3-mini via llama.cpp). No prompt ever leaves the machine.
- Notes, documents & the knowledge graph. Stored as files on your disk.
What we never do
No account or sign-up. No cloud sync. No analytics or telemetry that phones home. No recording bot joins your calls. There is no Flywall server in the loop for any core feature.
The one optional connection
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Flywall reads your upcoming events to build prep briefs and surface follow-ups. This is read-only, explicitly authorized by you, and can be disconnected at any time. It is the only feature that touches the network, and the app is fully usable without it.
Your data, exportable
Everything you create exports to Markdown (.md) with YAML frontmatter. Your content is plain text on your own disk — there is no lock-in and nothing to extract from us, because we never had it.
